Romantic entanglements and cheeky satire await when Bergen and Copenhagen embrace each other in a brand new twist on Lehár's legendary operetta.

The Viljasangen, the Widow's Waltz and all the other musical treats will of course come like pearls on a string when The Happy Widow is staged in the Grieghallen. But the award-winning director Kasper Holten from Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen has, together with TV script writer Adam Price, created a completely new and juicy twist on the plot of this much-loved classic.

PREMIERE IN COPENHAGEN
Den Glade Enke 2.0 is a co-production between Bergen National Opera and the Royal Theatre. The operetta premiered on 1 October in Copenhagen, to cheers from the audience and the press:
