At the concert in Ullensvang, works by the superstar of national romanticism are performed in Erkennor surroundings.
Among other things, the choir sings parts of Suite fra Holbergs tid , one of Grieg's best-known works, in an arrangement written especially for them by Jonathan Rathbone, who was previously musical director of The Swingle Singers. In addition, I love you! , Grieg's set version of Hans Christian Andersen's poem from 1864. Grieg sparked a worldwide hunger for love when he composed the work at the age of just 21. Since then, it has been recorded nearly 300 times by, among other things, great singers such as Frank Sinatra and Jussi Björling.
