This year's artists are Edvard Grieg choir, Elvira Nikolaisen, Maria Arredondo, Torstein Sødal and Mathea Mari. In Mercy Ships Norway, the joy was great when they agreed to sing for income for people who lack even the most basic health services.
Passio Olavi world premiere
Olav, saint and king, was praised in Gregorian chant and kept alive in the accounts of the miracles he performed throughout Scandinavia. In this new work, old Gregorian chants in Latin are united, taken from manuscripts that were scattered and partially lost during the Reformation.
Haydn The Creation
Edvard Grieg Choir participates in the performance of Haydn's masterful oratorio from 1798. The work describes and celebrates the creation of the earth as it is described in the Bible and in John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost.

Messiah in Bergen Cathedral
Bergen Domkor and Edvard Grieg choir in new collaboration.
Finally, it's Bergen Domkor's turn to perform the wonderful "Messiah" by Georg Friedrich Händel! The solo parts will be sung by Edvard Grieg Kors' singers. A complex baroque orchestra plays under the direction of Stefan Lindvall.

Edvard Grieg Choir takes part in the performance of Mozart's Requiem with Thierry Fischer and the Bergen Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra. An expressive, powerful and peaceful work that you cannot help but be touched by. Mozart did not manage to complete the work before his death, aged 34.
Leipziger gala – Larvik baroque
A grand festival finale with soprano Beate Mordal, star violinist Elicia Silverstein, Edvard Grieg Kor and the Barokkanerne. Together, they celebrate the versatility of our great composer Johann Sebastian Bach in a concert filled with, among other things, his Wedding Cantata, violin concerto in A minor and the motet Komm Jesu Komm conducted by Christopher Bucknall from London.
Swingling Holberg
The Norwegian industrial adventure from the 19th century is over, but the old workshop halls can recreate the acoustics and sound of the massive European cathedrals where the masters performed their works. With Edvard Grieg's evening concert on old Fritzøe works, we are lured into the baroque's angelic vocal world.

Christ on the Mount of Olives – Choir concert
Christ on the Mount of Olives is Beethoven's rarely performed and only oratorio, is linked to Easter and is about Jesus' pain and inner chaos in the last days before the crucifixion. In addition to Jesus, the other soloists are the Seraphim (angel), as God's messenger, and the apostle Peter. The choir has several roles, such as soldiers, disciples and angels.
Bergen church autumn festival: Lobet den Herrn – Bach motets and Psalms of David
Edvard Grieg Kor presents a program with great contrasts: Three of Johann Sebastian Bach's most beloved motets stand side by side with a wide selection of choral music from the 19th century to the present day, most with texts from the Psalms of David.

Vilde Frang plays Beethoven
The choral work Lux Aeterna was composed by the Hungarian-Austrian composer György Ligeti (1923-2006) in 1966 and is both mysterious, disturbing and peacefully beautiful. Film director Stanley Kubrick used the music in his 1968 film classic, 2001: A Space Odyssey. The text is taken from the Roman Catholic Requiem Mass.

A celebration of the distinctive and original tone artist Harald Sæverud and his musical universe, as well as a premiere performance by Knut Vaage.
This year it is 125 years since Harald Sæverud was born in Nordnes, and it is 30 years since he died. His music has by no means had its last word in the concert hall.
A fair for life

Edvard Grieg Vocal Ensemble consists of eight singers and forms the core of Edvard Grieg Kor, the only professional choir in Western Norway. On April 20, the Edvard Grieg Youth Choir (EGU) and the Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble (EGV) will perform a concert with the legend of St. Olav as its theme. The two works to be performed are "Passio Olavi" by Tyrone Landau and "Lux Illuxit" by Kim André Arnesen, both specially commissioned by the Edvard Grieg Choirs for the Youth Choir and the Vocal Ensemble.
