British mezzo-soprano Katie Macdonald is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where her studies were generously supported by The Behrens Foundation and The Mario Lanza Foundation.
She was a 2024 Alvarez Young Artist for Garsington Opera, a 2022-2023 Britten- Pears Young Artist and an Oxford Lieder Young Artist.
Recent opera engagements include Giulia in Puccini: Man of Theatre (Wexford Festival Opera), Maenad 2 (cover) in Platée (Garsington Opera), Shepherd Boy in Tosca (Grange Park Opera), Nerone in Agrippina (Hampstead Garden Opera), Sister Osmina in SuorAngelica (Grange Park Opera), Gerardo in Elena and Gerardo (Random Opera).
